Florida Orthopaedic Institute recently held six clinics to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible employees and family members.
In coordination with Advent Hospital Tampa, FOI received the Moderna vaccine. In coordination with the Hillsborough County Health Department, FOI received the Pfizer vaccine.
The total number vaccinated was 296 employees and family members.
Cindy Powell, Director of Clinic Services, worked diligently with the Florida Department of Health to provide this community service and help get as many staff vaccinated as quickly as possible.
Dr. Tara Sonnanstine and Dr. Jeff E. Sellman volunteered their time to act as supervising clinic physicians. The Florida Orthopaedic Institute’s Scheduling Department coordinated appointment times.
The clinics were a great team effort and just another example of how FOI team members take care of each other.
