About Sydney Beard
Sydney earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy before moving to Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through Nova Southeastern University. With a nursing background in orthopedics, neuro/trauma intensive care, and preoperative/post-anesthesia care, she brings a well-rounded perspective to patient care.
Sydney believes the best outcomes begin with listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s goals, clearly explain treatment options, and develop a personalized plan of care. She specializes in treating hip and knee osteoarthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions, including overuse injuries of the lower extremity, using minimally invasive treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), corticosteroids, and specialty injections. She also guides patients through the surgical process when it is the appropriate next step. Whether a patient’s goal is returning to golf, keeping up with grandchildren, or simply walking without pain, Sydney is committed to helping them get back to doing what they love.
Outside of work, Sydney enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, baking sweet treats, staying active, and spending quality time with her husband and their dogs.
