About Charles Procuniar
Chuck earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, before completing a Master of Science in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse at the University of South Florida College of Nursing.
Before joining Florida Orthopaedic Institute, Chuck served as a Hospital Corpsman and operating room technician in the U.S. Navy and later as a lieutenant in the Navy Nurse Corps. His career also includes leadership roles as an operating room supervisor at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, Director of Surgical Services at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in vascular and general surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Chuck has extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of spinal conditions, including fractures, tumors, degenerative diseases, infections, and scoliosis.
Chuck’s philosophy is to treat every patient with compassion and respect while providing individualized care for spinal conditions.
Outside of work, Chuck enjoys golfing, boating, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and playing with his kittens.
