My philosophy in caring for patients is to consider the treatment I would recommend for members of my own family. I have a very conservative approach and always try to evaluate the best treatment option before suggesting surgery.

Dr. Weinstein is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and dual fellowship trained in spinal surgery.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University, and received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine.  Dr. Weinstein completed his Orthopaedic residency at the Yale University School of Medicine’s Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, a fellowship in spine research at Cornell University and the hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Frank Eismont.

Dr. Weinstein holds a position as an assistant professor of sports medicine and orthopedics at the University of South Florida.  He has published numerous research papers in both peer reviewed medical journals and textbooks, and has lectured at national and international spine meetings. His special interests are in cervical spine surgery.

During his free time, Dr. Weinstein enjoys the theater, opera, and reading, as well as a variety of outdoor activities. Mostly, he enjoys spending time with his family.
