About Stephanie O'Connell
Stephanie is a Florida native who earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida College of Medicine after completing a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida. She began her medical career with the UF Health Department of Orthopaedics, where she has cared for patients with a wide range of orthopedic conditions and assisted in hip and knee replacement surgery.
Stephanie believes the best orthopedic care begins by listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s goals, explain treatment options in clear, practical language, and develop individualized care plans that fit each person’s lifestyle. Whether helping someone manage arthritis without surgery or guiding them through joint replacement and recovery, she is committed to compassionate, evidence-based care that helps patients return to the activities they enjoy.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, making the most of life together in North Central Florida. As a family, they love being outdoors, whether exploring local parks, traveling, or simply enjoying time together. During sports seasons, you can typically find them cheering on the Gators!
