About Dr. Parvataneni
Dr. Hari Parvataneni grew up in Jamaica before training at some of the top institutions in the United States. He did a research fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Internship at the Mayo Clinic, Orthopaedic Residency at Lenox Hill Hospital (Northwell Health), and an Arthroplasty Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Parvataneni is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. His career has been dedicated to the highest-quality arthroplasty care and academic medicine. He has mentored more than fifty arthroplasty surgeons, been awarded seven teaching and mentorship awards, is a national examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and serves on the editorial boards of several major medical journals.
He has proudly provided high-quality care for over fifteen years in Florida, recently as a professor at the University of Florida and as Arthroplasty Division Chief. His collaborative patient-centered work was pivotal in the department achieving its highest ranking ever by US News. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Parvataneni provides a full spectrum of hip and knee arthroplasty care, including outpatient, muscle-sparing, opioid-sparing and technology-driven surgery. He started the first Academic Outpatient Arthroplasty Program in Florida.
He treats each patient and family as he would his own and is keenly focused on patient outcome and experience, as evidenced by his top percentile ranking in Press Ganey Surveys.
Dr. Parvataneni spends his spare time with his wife, a physician, and their three children. He also enjoys outdoor activities (especially running), Florida’s beaches and springs. He loves reading and lifelong learning.
