About Erica Franklin
Erica earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She began her nursing career as a registered nurse, specializing in orthopedics and developing a passion for helping patients overcome conditions affecting their mobility and quality of life. After several years of bedside orthopedic experience, Erica transitioned into advanced practice and joined Dr. Brian Palumbo’s team. Since then, she has focused on hip and knee reconstruction and has become an integral part of the comprehensive care provided to patients throughout their joint replacement journey. Erica has also been involved with Operation Walk, helping coordinate surgical candidates and participating in the practice’s quarterly free clinic to provide access to orthopedic care for patients in need.
As an advanced practice registered nurse specializing in hip and knee conditions, Erica evaluates and treats patients with arthritis and other degenerative conditions of the hip and knee. She works alongside Dr. Palumbo to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals considering joint replacement surgery, as well as those exploring nonoperative treatment options. Erica believes education and communication are essential components of exceptional orthopedic care. She takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, goals, and lifestyle to develop an individualized treatment plan that helps patients make informed decisions about their health and return to the activities they enjoy.
Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, traveling, and spending time on the water. She values an active lifestyle and appreciates the importance of maintaining mobility and independence.
