About Dane Olsen
Dane Olsen is a highly experienced Physician Assistant with more than three decades of orthopedic surgical experience. He began his healthcare career as a Certified Surgical Technologist after completing his training at St. Petersburg Health Center. He earned an Associate in Arts degree with a focus in Pre-Med Studies from St. Petersburg College before completing the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health. Prior to joining Florida Orthopaedic Institute in 1991, he worked as a surgical first assistant in Level II trauma and orthopaedic surgery settings throughout the Tampa Bay area. Since joining, he has served as a surgical first assistant at leading local hospitals and has worked alongside renowned orthopaedic surgeons including Dr. Harry Steinman from 1991 to 2008 and Dr. Andrew Cooper since 2008.

Certifications
He has maintained National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification since 1990, with multiple recertifications throughout his career, and holds an active Florida Physician Assistant license. He is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR.
