Dr. Gasser: (00:05) I got interested in medicine actually when I was probably 11 or 12 years old, when I had a knee surgery myself, and saw an orthopedic surgeon, was fascinated by the specialty, and at that point, I think from then on, that was pretty much my goal, was to become an orthopedic surgeon and specialize in sports medicine. Well, your knee feels great. Stay in the brace. Use the cane as you need it. Keep doing your therapy, and I’ll see you in two months, okay?
Female Respondent: I would say he is one of the best. He explains everything very well. I knew what I was going to get when I came in for the surgery. I do feel like I’m in good hands with Dr. Gasser. He answers all of my questions. He’s very thorough.
Dr. Gasser: Our goal here is to provide state-of-the-art care, cutting-edge technology and a personalized experience for the patient. How’s your knee doing?
Male Respondent: Good.
Dr. Gasser: It’s been six weeks since your surgery.
Male Respondent: Yes.
Dr. Gasser: We did an ACL, and cleaned up some arthritis and a partial (01:00) meniscectomy. Our goal is to try to get— Most of the patients that see us are active and their goal is to remain active, and so we try to do that in the safest and most efficient manner for the patient.
Male Respondent: Phenomenal doctor, a great surgery, very thorough in the aftercare. He calls you the same day after your surgery, so the aftercare is great.
Dr. Gasser: Is your main complaint in your knee now pain or instability?
Male Respondent: A little bit of both.
Dr. Gasser: Yes?
Male Respondent: I play arena football. It’s been about a year since my accident. I’m just happy to finally see somebody that knows what they’re talking about. You don’t get to that level to be able to work with top-tier players and athletes unless you know, you’re doing your job and doing it well.
Dr. Gasser: We’re going to fit you with a brace today, and then I’ll see you back in four to six weeks and let’s reassess. I like to treat each patient individually, give personalized care, be available for my patients, to do the least invasive measure possible in order to meet their goals.
