I’m Grant Garlick and I’m an orthopedic surgeon. I’m trained in sports as well as a reconstruction, but uh, I have a particular interest, keen interest in focusing on a knee. I went to medical school and I hadn’t made a decision until my fifth rotation in my third year and I got to do surgery. And I saw the impact you can have people’s lives. The immediate impact, and I was, I was sold in that moment on. This is what a knee replacement looks like on the X-Ray. I know I tell my patients all the time, the most rewarding surgery that I do is total knee surgery. It’s just amazing how much it can change someone’s life. My wife and I are both very active in running and again working out and playing tennis with the kids. And that mindset starts very early on and it’s a big part of my life. So I really could put myself in the patient’s shoes because I want to be as active as possible. I want to help them achieve that status as well. So really I can put myself in their shoes and really be empathetic with these patients. It’s truly rewarding.
