My name is Brian Palumbo. I am an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee reconstruction. And I practice at Florida Orthopaedic Institute. I focus on patients who have severe disabling hip and knee pain. This is his native hip and he has some evidence of arthritis. Often these patients may need a total hip or total knee replacement. I think hip and knee reconstruction is technically challenging, which makes it for me fun. I also think that patients benefit greatly from hip and knee reconstruction. So I actually was a jet mechanic before I was a doctor. I became interested in medicine. You know, just while I was in college, I took some courses and the founder of the true passion for it, you know, for anatomy and physiology. And I simply love what I do.
Florida Orthopaedic Institute specifically is very driven towards clinical excellence, excellence, but also excellence in research and advancing you know our science and specifically advancing the science of arthroplasty. When I’m not working or not being a physician, I spend time with my family and I tried to, I try to get into the gym occasionally, but most of my time is dedicated to my family, the family history on this patient. I love spending time. What I do, I love seeing patients. I love the science of arthroplasty and joint replacement, and I truly want to be the best at what I do.
