About Dr. Heigle

Dr. Heigle is board-eligible and fellowship-trained orthopedic traumatologist. He provides comprehensive fracture care, from broken ankles to severe pelvic ring injuries. He obtained his medical degree and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, OK. He then went on to complete his training with a fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, FL.

Specializing in the reconstruction of complex peri-articular, pelvic and poly-traumatic injuries, Dr. Heigle is a staff surgeon with the Orthopedic Trauma Service. This division of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute is committed to providing world class care to patients in our community with severe musculoskeletal injuries. This multidisciplinary team prides itself on ensuring patients receive excellent care on each step on their road to recovery.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Heigle enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing golf and watching college football.
