About Dr. Streufert
Dr. Benjamin D. Streufert is board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and Fellowship Trained in Spine Surgery. He recently completed his Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Prior to this, Dr. Streufert completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of South Florida and the Florida Orthopaedic Institute. He earned his medical degree from Duke University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Virginia.
Dr. Streufert specializes in treating patients with cervical, thoracic, and lumbar problems, offering a range of treatments from simple to complex. He excels at developing strategies and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. His specific interests include adult degenerative disorders, adult deformity, minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preservation surgery (such as laminoplasty and disc replacement), and spinal trauma and tumor surgery.
With a keen interest in emerging technologies, Dr. Streufert explores novel techniques in both surgical and non-surgical realms to achieve better outcomes for patients with spinal disorders.
Dr. Streufert enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of all that St. Petersburg has to offer.
