About Sean Phelan

Sean completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida and earned his Master of Clinical Medical Science degree from Barry University, where he completed his physician assistant training in 2010. He has spent his entire career at Florida Orthopaedic Institute, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity conditions.

Sean treats a wide range of conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. He has a particular interest and expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections, using ultrasound to provide dynamic, real-time evaluation and to improve the precision of image-guided procedures. His approach to patient care is centered on listening to each patient, establishing an accurate diagnosis, and developing an individualized treatment plan based on their specific needs and goals. He believes that educating patients about their condition and involving them in treatment decisions is an important part of achieving the best possible outcome.

Outside of the office, Sean enjoys staying active through working out and playing golf. He especially enjoys coaching his three children in sports and spending time with his wife and children. He values the opportunity to stay involved in his family’s activities and brings that same commitment to helping his patients remain active and return to the activities they enjoy.
