Scott Bland, Spinal Fusion Testimonial

My name’s Scott Bland. I’m a field applications engineer for a major semiconductor company. I like to go out and skydive from time to time. I like to go wing suiting. I like to go hiking. I like to go walking. My pain started when I was around 16 years old until I reached my 50s where it was simply debilitating. What the pain affected more than anything was my ability to stand. There was nothing I could do to get away from it, try to sit down and try to do anything to get the load off my lower back. But it was as if there were, there was a knife in my back twisting. Two of my friends who were skydivers had neck problems. They had had a really positive experience with Dr. Small and recommended him. And that’s when I went to see him.

So the first time I went to talk to Dr. Small, he described the surgery that he was going to do on me and I said, no, you know, I can, I can push through this. It’s not enough to keep, to do all this invasive surgery. And it got worse and it got worse until the point where it was, I couldn’t take it anymore. So I went back to Dr. Small, we talked about it and we decided to go ahead. So I was in the hospital for two nights. I came in on Friday and I left on Sunday, but I was doing work on Monday morning, healed up really well. The stitches there, all the stitches and everything all that worked really well. I followed Dr. Small’s advice to the letter and, and the results speak for themselves.

So right now, it’s a little bit more than a year after the surgery. I can do anything that I want to do. If I want to go jumping again, anything I want to do, there are no restrictions. I’m no longer in that agonizing pain. I would wholeheartedly recommend Florida Orthopaedic Institute and I would recommend Dr. Small specifically that here, here I am, he took 20 plus years off my back. They didn’t oversell it. Dr. Small didn’t oversell what he could potentially do, but what happened was my pain is gone. Where before it was a 15 out of one to 10 now it’s a zero, I can’t emphasize that enough. There was, there’s no pain. I stand up and I’m 100%.
