Earl Bedford, A NAVIO Knee Replacement Testimonial

As my military career started winding down, I’ve, I started noticing my body breaking down the older that I got. I’m a 30 year US Army veteran, special operations. Did four tours in Iraq. Numerous parachute jumps. Been in special operations. It takes a toll on your body. It took its toll. Once I was able to actually sit down and relax at rest and then noticed that my, I noticed that my knees were not in good condition. My quality of life started to go down. I was unable to walk. I was unable to do the things that you’re able to do on a daily basis. Ride a bike, swim, play with my kids to pain was so excruciating that I had to have, I had to do something real quick. My thing was looking at the quality of life, not only for today, but five, 10, 20 years from now, I want to be able to make sure that I could walk my little girls down the aisle. So I talked to some friends. I talked to several physicians, and they all endorsed the Florida Orthopaedic Institute.

When I first met Dr. Grayson, one of the first things he did was take an X-Ray and take a look at what the situation was. And as he’d looked at it and he sat down with me to explain step by step everything that was going on in both my knees, torn muscles and my right knee torn, ACL, PCL, MCL, and meniscus in my left knee. A majority of the time when you have a knee replacement, you’re told to wait until you get older so you could just have one. But my knees were so bad that I needed to have them done as soon as possible. One of the best things that Dr. Grayson and his staff did was to prepare me prior to going into surgery. It made me feel comfortable. They made me feel relaxed. So as of the day of the surgery, all I did was walk in there, sign some paper, put on my robe. And we went have had and did the surgical procedure.

I didn’t have any problems with it shortly afterward. You get some swelling. You get some pain. But for the most part, they pretty much had me walking within the first 15 days of so without a cane or a walker. The physical therapy personnel at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute did an outstanding job. I’m able to go swimming and walk with my kids, play with my dog. And the quality of life right now is much better because the pain has gone. Pick the Florida Orthopaedic Institute and the physicians that they have available on staff to perform any type of orthopedic or surgical procedure that you need. Their doctors are well-trained. The staff is very experienced. It will change your life. It will change your quality of life than what your, your quality of life is right now if you are living with pain.
