Doctor Profile: Adil A. Samad, MD
Dr. Samad: My name is Dr. Adil Samad and I am a surgeon specializing in spine surgery with the Florida Orthopaedic Institute. I grew up in Buffalo, New York. I attended the University of Buffalo for undergraduate. Following that, I completed an orthopedic residency in Long Branch, New Jersey at the Monmouth Medical Center. I recently completed my fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. My wife and I decided to move to the Tampa area after having a child so she could be closer to her family. I decided to work for Florida Orthopaedic Institute as they’re internationally recognized for their quality of care that they deliver. In my practice. I see patients with a wide variety of spinal conditions ranging from lumbar herniated discs to complex adult reconstruction and revision surgery. In the event that a patient would require surgery if they failed non-operative treatments, this could be done through either a decompressive or a spinal fusion procedure for each patient. I like to take an individualized approach. I like to take a careful history, physical exam, and reviewed the imaging studies together. From that point, we can go over different non-surgical and surgical options, which is best for the patient.
