I had a fall in Mexico and was advised I could not travel with the fractures I sustained without injury. In Mexico, the multi-fractured femur was repaired with instructions to follow up with an orthopedist in America. After weeks of searching and so many denials from orthopedists, Dr. Mir was the only one who would see me and consent to correct the original incorrect surgery. His ability, expertise, excellent surgical skills and compassion gave me the ability to walk again.
