The growing Florida-based orthopedic practice announces new Chiropractor and Trauma Surgeon.
Tampa, Fl. – August 1, 2022 – Florida Orthopaedic Institute (FOI) announces the recent addition of Dr. Karen Derr and Dr. Thomas S. Stang to its practice as it continues to grow across Florida.
Dr. Derr cares for all conditions of the spine and extremities. Her special interests include the non-surgical management and rehabilitation of intervertebral disc-related conditions such as disc degeneration, disc bulging, and disc herniation syndromes. “We are proud to have Karen Derr, D.C. join our chiropractic team,” says Dr. Roy Sanders, president, chief medical officer and founding member of Florida Orthopaedic Institute.
Dr. Derr’s desire has always been to offer options to find relief from health issues without medication or surgery. She is dedicated and passionate about helping patients achieve the best possible results during their treatment. Dr. Derr is seeing patients at the Bloomingdale location.
“We are also pleased to officially welcome one of our recent outstanding trauma fellows, Thomas S. Stang, D.O.” Dr. Sanders said. After serving our country for over 16 distinguished years, he was honorably discharged from the Army and moved to Tennessee where he continued to pursue his love for medicine.
As a trauma osteopathic orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Stang takes a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing that all body parts/systems are interconnected, and that the musculoskeletal system is fundamental to wellbeing and quality of life.
