A professional staff of more than 500 supports our physicians, based in a 100,000 sq. ft. facility on a 12 acre campus. Therapy Services
Florida Orthopaedic Institute provides physical and occupational/hand therapy services in house for the rehabilitation needs of our patients. The very nature of our orthopedic practice connects our patients with physical and/or occupational therapists after seeing one of our physicians. This truly allows us to provide seamless care and allows our physicians to more closely monitor the quality of patient care.
Our mission is to provide excellent care to our patients and immediate access to our Rehabilitation Centers. Our focus is to initiate therapy services within 24-48 hours of our orthopedic physician's referral.
The goal of physical therapy is to restore range of motion and strength following injury and allow a return to pre-injury activities. Our physical therapy services offer moist heat/ice, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, aquatic therapy and infrared therapy along with individualized exercise programs developed by our therapists. Our expertise in manual therapy allows a hands-on approach in dealing with joint and soft tissue restrictions through the use of massage, joint mobilization, and myofascial release techniques.
Our goal is to restore function to our patients to allow them to regain independence in every day activities of life.
